Good mix of really tight wooded holes and open, linx style holes on the back 9. Hole 7 is an awesome, beautiful, extreme downhill bomber. Signature hole. Excited for the future when it cleans up more.

Fun park course. Many super short holes. Best baskets out there.

Myself and the township trustee, are volunteering a few days a week to bring this course up to par. It takes a lot of work to make a disc golf course from scratch. If y’all are patient, we will have a top notch course for sure! Any help from passionate disc golf enthusiasts, will be greatly appreciated!

I love this course. What a great use of the walkway and river for so many holes. There’s a couple signature holes on both the front and back nine. Nice and open park on the front 9 and a few tight wooded holes on the back. Overall, great variety

Tough but fair layout, mostly in the tight, winding woods. Great elevation changes. Nice concrete pads and new signs. Shorts and longs. Thanks for all the hard work by the volunteers, especially Dave!

The layout is mint. The tee pads are mint. Great variation of forehand and backhand and shorter and longer holes. The elevation and basket placements are great. The best course in the area and with better signage, one of the best in Michigan. The only complaint I have is the long walks in between holes.

Played this course during states and had a blast here. Any skill level can have fun here for sure, elevation changes ever hole just about. Cleverly placed baskets and good mix of woods, open fields with nagging bushes. This course is fantastic for the amateur level player

The fun factor on this course is top notch. Mostly shorter, even from the Longs. Lots of short ace run holes with wooded and technical, tight gaps and 4 or 5holes in the beginning and end that play through the park(but have cleverly placed baskets) and a couple holes over 300. Theres a nice creek running through the course and a few double mandos and a cool triple mando. Any skill level can have fun playing here.

This course quickly just became one of my favorites. Great tee pads, great variation of shot shapes and distance. And you have a few Long, golf course style holes, transitioning into some of the coolest wooded holes I’ve ever played. For it being mostly flat, it’s one of the best courses in Michigan, In my opinion. This course is about as challenging as Hunts Hideaway and a similar flow with woods and fields.

Right off the bat you can tell they put lots of work on the property. Every part of your game will be tested. The wooded holes are really tight and many are kind of chuck and pray, which normally is fine but over swamps that can be aggravating. There are a few big bomber holes here and not one hole is easy in any way. The most attackable hole has a triple mando, so you must keep your focus the whole round. Some greens are a little obstructed right next to the basket so you have to be picky with ...

I used to throw my putters here just about every lunch at work cuz it was 2 miles away. Didn’t realize there were actual holes to follow. I actually talked to a guy there who was pleasantly surprised I used them and wanted some input on it because they didn’t know much about DG (I gathered that with the waste of baskets and property) and I offered to give some advice about making it a cool little course but I got no response back after that. This was about a year or so ago. but if you want a ...

It’s hard to give a 9 hole course that’s really short an A but this place is close. Everyone talks about this course and how great of a putter practice course it is. They aren’t wrong, it’s manicured beautifully and it’s easy to navigate. Nice park course, it’s like a mini Memorial Park (Frankenmuth).
River Bends › April 10, 2023

River bends has some really great holes and then some meh holes. They use the river nicely on a few holes and those are probably my favorite. It’s nice having an option to play 18 or 27 if you have energy that day. Many of the wooded holes will test you as they are not your typical short wooded holes. The park keeps this place clean. Some of the rough and tall grass will eat discs and that sucks. Tall grass is the worst in disc golf.

For the property they had, they utilized all the good features, between the river coming into play on a few holes and clever basket locations using the few trees they had. The trees are like telephone poles so not much branch hate here. You can score well if you keep it near the circle and hit your putts. A couple demanding lines but mostly open, forgiving lines. Tee pads are great. Biggest complaint I have here is safety. Some of the tee pads are close to baskets and some of the holes I’ve seen people throw at the wrong basket. It can be confusing in spots.

North course is more fun in my opinion, but this is still a pretty great course where you have to earn your pars. It’s nice to have 2 options for courses and navigation is pretty easy. The tee pads are fantastic.

There are a couple of baskets that were pushed back and I like those changes. Hole 7 is a great hole now and 18 (East)is much safer and pushed back straighter and longer away from 18 west. This course has a few ace runs and a lot of picture pretty holes. This course is shorter and way more beginner friendly. I love this course and think it’s a great transition from the other 18. From the white pads, it’s much more amateur friendly than East. If you don’t wanna get pissed off, play West instead.

It has a bit of everything. A beautiful A+ starting hole on a peninsula, that would go in my dream 18. and lots of tight wooded lines with a good mix of forehand and backhand. Many of the holes have nagging swamps so you can lose discs. (Update) The terrible old baskets are gone and the new layout after hole 7 is cool and the par 4s are championship level difficulty. Although, the old layout was more fun IMO. And I don’t make the long trip much anymore because it’s not as worth it.

Nice tee pads and easy to navigate. Nice elevation change and technical lines. A little bit repetitive at times though. The more attackable course of the 2. In my opinion, a better flow to it as well and more fun for the AM players

Good change up for the area considering most courses around here are wooded. The signage and tee pads are the best around and the river playing into a few holes is cool. The tall grass/rough on the back 9 eats discs and gets a little aggravating. Some of the field holes could be a little more creative but nice open park course.

Elevation change and trees are the theme for this course. There are a couple holes here that are unique and fun and a couple that are super challenging. Great course

Tons of fun to play. A lot of the lines make you get really creative, there are quite a few short ace runs as well. Tee pads are top notch. Pretty flat and no water so no lost discs usually. Definitely worth the trip when I come up north. Only con I would say is some of the holes are too much of a right angle and make it impossible to get to the basket. Hole 5 could be a better tee shot. I honestly play it for a 3 every time, a roller or a throw in are about the only way to get it there for b ...

Great course. Lots of elevation changes and death putts. Hole 15 is one of the coolest holes in the state. Also hole 3 from the Longs is breathtaking. Going down a huge sledding hill into a beautiful fairway and the basket is perfectly placed down by the river. Hole 3 and 15 would be in my dream 18. A couple of the wooded holes seem like filler holes but it’s a solid course.

There are 18 holes in now and many are MPO caliber and hole 13 up on the hill is rollaway city and picture pretty. A lot of different shots and punishing rough. Front 9 is relatively easy and the back 9 is very hard. Ace runs and placement shots, and short and long pads, provide fun for every skill level! This course is under the radar and with some more love, could be the best in the area. The last few holes are unplayable in the summer because they are so overgrown.

This course is a ton of fun to play and rarely has much traffic and is a beautiful wooded scenery. Hidden gem. Some holes are unique and 17 and 18 are crazy tough for beginners. all par 3 and Mostly mid range and fairway drivers except for 17 and 18 those are long and tight. Some love to this course and it’s an A.
Seymour Lake Park › November 6, 2022

Nice course. Mostly open, but some Semi-tight holes in the woods. The open holes are long and hilly. Hole 2 is a beauty! All par 3s so it can be a challenge for weaker arms. Look forward to newer baskets here someday. (Update) the new basket wish has been fulfilled and there are also some nice alternate layouts as well. Always clean and mowed and amazing tee pads.

Lots of ace chances and different looking holes and beautiful scenery all year. You can do a 9 hole Loop or 18 or 24 with 6 insane alternates. It’s way back In the park in the hills but can definitely get busy. The only complaint is the teepads are too short and ankle breakers in spots but overall amazing layout.
Goldenrod DGC › August 24, 2023

There’s lots of traffic so you have some backups and litter, but Goldenrod is just awesome. The deep woods, and river and swamps make for mosquitos and lost discs but it also makes it a gem. (Updated) Love the new tee pads and signage. I love about 75% of the new basket locations. I miss old hole 1,8,11 tho

Mostly open but some nagging trees around some tees and some baskets and major elevation changes can make it tricky. Nice clean course with decent signage. A creek plays into a couple holes but not many Chances to lose a disc which is nice.

My home course
This course is amazing for beginners and experienced players. While the lines are tight, they are mostly fair and mostly on the shorter side. It’s really flat on the front 18 but the original 9 in the back have some amazing holes. It’s honestly a hidden gem and real quiet.
Edit* we’ve had a couple work days and it’s been cleaned up real nice. Layout has been tweaked a little. This created a smoother flow and will eliminate 2 long walks. Signage and pads are coming later this year!
