About this tournament
The Massachusetts Senior Games in Disc Golf is back for 2024.
Eligibility: Anyone 30+. Separate age brackets for both genders: 30, 40, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80. Based on our age on 12/31/2024.
Not PGDA sanctioned. No separate Pro/Am. Divisions only based on age/gender.
No payouts (except optional Ace Pot), playing for MASG gold/silver/bronz medals ...and pride! Can join/play for optional Ace Pot on day of event ($$ TBD)
Disc Golf is now a National Senior Games national event scheduled for July 24 - August 6th in Des Moines, Iowa. This 2024 event is a qualifying year for the 2025 Senior Nationals. Top 4 winners in each age/gender division (50 & over) this year are eligible to attend National Senior Games in 2025.
Here’s what to expect:
- 2 rounds of disc golf on the famed and acclaimed Crane Hill Disc Golf course in Wilbraham, MA!
- A porto-potty on site!
- If you can’t make it in time to the PP-- Depends emergency stations!
- Joint replacements—legal in MA now! (Non-denture sticking gummies if you prefer)
- Lawyers standing by to compose your last will and testament!
- The Selective Hearing Aid company will once again be on hand to demonstrate its game changing product—hearing aids with 3 settings that allow you to Turn ON, Tune IN, Tune OUT! (Highly recommended for relationship management)
- $5 off your $30 entry fee if you bring along a demonstrably alive and ambulant parent!
Registration: Sign up at MA Senior Games website: https://maseniorgames.org/e/disc-golf-june-23-2024 thru June 23rd @4pm. After that day of event registrations +$5.
- You must have an account (FREE) with the MA Senior Games to register yourself or another person(s)
- Your age division will be automatically determined by your age as of December 31st of the current year
- Only one registration, per member account, per event please
- Registration info can only be updated by an athlete while event registration is OPEN
- Once registration is closed, you must email a request to the web admin for updates and payment options
- There will be Day-of-Event registrations, but it will cost $5 more, and you may not get a T-shirt of your size
- Gold, Silver and Bronze awards are given in 10 year increments for those under 50 and in 5 year increments for those 50+. You will be listed with others in your own age grouping based on your age as of December 31 of this year.
- T-shrts are also included in the fee.
- Lunch & water are included and we plan to order pizza (Cheese, meat, other). There will also be a salad and dressing on the table for all of us to relax and enjoy. Please BYOBeverage.
- Bring your own discs if you prefer. But discs will be for sale, or loaners available.
- Bring a demonstrably alive and ambulant parent to the event, and get $5 off registration!
Note: Working on getting some prizes donated for some CTPs. Have any new DG stuff (tourney prizes) you are willing to re-gift/contribute to our CTP prizes. We also welcome local vendors to sponsor by contributing CTP prizes.
